I am one of those people that absolutely thrive on pressure. I used to do it at high school - studying for an exam the night before; I did it at University - staying up until 3am to finish an assignment that was due at 9am, and even as a blogger - I have started a post from scratch and published it on the same day...call me crazy, but I actually love it! Don't get me wrong, I am usually an organised person and love to be organised, however I am also very good at procrastinating. So selling and buying a house, planning and organising two milestone birthdays, and returning to work in a month is enough to make anyone go crazy right? Well...almost! It's all happening for us - so I have no time to procrastinate.
We have finally decided to bite the bullet and put the house on the market! It's only just begun...however we are ready to get the show on the road and get our house sold, so that we can buy a bigger place to accommodate our growing family (by growing, I mean the kids are getting bigger). The next few weeks are going to be insane but bring it on I say...lets #makeithappen. The house is almost ready, we just have a few jobs to do around the place, so we are dedicating this weekend, Long Weekend (here in NZ) to get them done. We have a professional photographer coming in early next week and our first 'Open Home' in under two weeks!
On top of all this house business, I start my new job next Tuesday, it will be Master M's first day at home-based child care, AND I am also planning and organising the kids milestone birthdays - Miss B is turning 10 and Master M is going to be ONE - and because I thrive on pressure so much, it's all happening in ONE weekend! Yes, I am rare breed and maybe a little crazy...thankfully, the planning for the birthdays is almost done - all I need to do is make it all come together on the day!
I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason and I have faith that everything will be fine!
Wish me LUCK!

ReplyDeleteThank you Lisa! I (we) just need to get through this next month!
ReplyDeleteWe keep talking about putting our house on the market, but we just haven't done it yet. I have a lot of cleaning and purging to do first and that's gonna take a while!
ReplyDeleteOh yes! Welcome to my world RIGHT NOW Rabia! It's a big job - and we are getting most of it done this weekend!
DeleteIt is definitely a handy skill to be able to work under pressure. I am such a procrastinator that I'm always doing it!! But not before writing a multi-coloured list and timetable :)
ReplyDeletehaha lists are great, especially multi-coloured ones - I totally get that! :)
