Sunday Share #22

Goodbye Autumn...Hello Winter!
And just like that we have zipped through another month of the year. I'm not even going to mention how many weeks there are till Christmas, because that would be mean!

I have to say, it's a bit a weird posting 'Sunday Share' on a Monday (I shared my Taking Stock - May 2015 post yesterday instead). Anyway, here I am...reflecting on another week (and month), sharing extra tidbits of the happenings in my life!

What's been happening?
I kicked off the month with Our Family Photos. Stacey Milich Photography has taken all of our photos e.g. Maternity, Newborn and most recently, One Year Later. I absolutely love them and have them proudly displayed in our lounge. I shared my #AtoZChallenge REFLECTION - reflecting on a whole month of blogging - Boy! that was crazy however I am so glad I did it and completed the challenge! I look forward to doing it again next year!

Teacher by trade - Mother by nature (the name) celebrated a Milestone Moment: Turning ONE! I had a little Giveaway and this person won it! Congratulations and HAPPY 1st Birthday to TTMN! I found some pretty awesome Washi Tape Storage Ideas, which includes my own #kmarthack. However now, my daughter has claimed the storage container for her nail polish and I have stored my washi tape collection on rods. Every week (most weeks), I like to link up with Lisa and Rabia for #TuesdayTen. This month I shared My Pet Peeves10+ Bucket List Display Ideas and What Else Happens On Your Birthday? That one was a funny post - you have to check it out and see what happens on your birthday!

If you missed a Sunday Share post this month, it's okay- you can read them here: #19 - Part One#19 - Part Two#20 and #21- or see them all in ONE place here.

THIS WEEK: Things have gone back to normal this past week for us! Yaye! I worked on Tuesday, we had Mainly Music on Wednesday and PLAY on Friday. It was nice to get out of the house and socialise with our friends. On Saturday, I attended a First Aid Course for the whole day, leaving my partner with the kids. It was his first full day with the both of them and they all survived. Woohoo! I am so proud of my partner - he is such a great dad/step-dad.

What's coming up in June?
I have joined Michelle from An Organised Life and many others, to take part in the 30 Day Declutter Challenge. Join me as I Clear Out The Clutter. I am really excited about the challenge - it has kicked off today! Follow along on Instagram: #AOL30DayDeclutter @anorganisedlife_

We will be moving soon! I have been procrastinating a bit when it comes to packing, I have done a bit but still have a lot to do...thankfully my Mum is going to come down this week and give me hand - decluttering as we go! Wish me luck.

Sunday Share #21

What's been happening this week?
I thought last week's Sunday Share #20 was a going to be a quick post...well this week is going to be even quicker! Both of my kiddies have been sick, with asthma and viral infections. Miss B had an asthma attack on Monday at school, and it lasted all week. Thankfully, we were able to manage it at home and didn't need to go the hospital - we did go to the Doctor however - to get some prednisolone to help with the inflammation. She is much better now. Miss B is a severe asthmatic and has been in and out of hospital (including ICU 4-5 times) since she was 5. The past two years we have seen a huge improvement, and it really has come down to managing her asthma, and our education about her condition.

Master M had a bit of a viral bug and this lead to him being quite wheezy and breathing rapidly. I took him straight to the hospital to get checked out. He has a viral induced wheeze and we were sent home with some salbutamol to help with this breathing (if needed). Master M also has cut two teeth -  his 9th and 10th  - so he is dealing with that as well. There have been times when he's been absolutely miserable and then there have been are times when he is happy as Larry, playing with his big sister.

So two sicks kids at home meant that I had no work on Tuesday, we didn't go to Mainly Music on Wednesday or PLAY on Friday. It's horrible when your babies get sick, however I did love all the extra cuddles I got! Ooh and Master M is giving me proper kisses now, it's so cute. Fingers crossed both kiddies are back to their healthy selves next week!

Have you had sick kids at home this week?

#ONTHEBLOG
You may notice a few new tabs at the top of the page...over the next couple of weeks, I am going to be making some changes (just little ones) to make my blog more organised and easy for you to find some of my favourite posts. Remember you can always use my Search bar and the "I Blog About" section to find previous posts.

Blogging - this includes links to all my posts for Blogging from A to Z Challenge. A one-stop shop for some great reads (if I don't say so myself). Grab a cuppa and enjoy reading extra tidbits of my life, home and family plus some really creative ideas!

Get Creative - I love to dabble in DIY and Crafts, so this is where I will posting links to my favourite creations. This page is a work in progress and I will be adding a few more posts over the next week or so.

Sunday Share - Have you missed a Sunday Share post? Now you can see every previous Sunday Share post in ONE place! How cool is that? I love this series as it's my place where I get to share the things that are happening in our lives RIGHT NOW! Plus it's a great place to share my photos from the FMS Photo a Day Challenge each week. You can also see them on my Instragram @charlene_ttmn.

They are my favourite blogs who I visit regularly because they are filled with creative ideas and inspiring posts.  I am sure you will find some new blogs to follow and love, in amongst my list. Sunday Share #20

What a week! I'm super tired so it's going to be quick Sunday Share today (sorry).

Highlights of the week...
 ***Mainly Music***
Master M & I went to Mainly Music on Wednesday! I am so glad I waited until M was over 1 to start going. I say it all the time - He LOVES it! Listening to music, dancing to the music, one-to-one interaction with me and meeting new friends. It is something we look forward to each week. Do you or did you attend Mainly Music with your children?

***PLAY***
Every Friday, Master M & I attend PLAY (it's pretty much PlayCentre) but I like to call it PLAY because that's we do! We love it! Master M gets stuck in straight away and is thriving! He loves to paint (well it loves to eat the paint - blah), water play and playing in the 'home' area. It's so cool watching him grow and mingling with his friends. Our group is new - only started at the beginning of the term, so we are all growing and learning together. I plan on getting my Course 2 for PlayCentre and hopefully will continue and get my Course 3. It's the teacher in me, I need to continue my studies and professional development. I love it though (I'm a nerd...sshhh don't tell anyone)

***HAPPY MAIL***
Earlier this week I ordered some of these amazing divider plates from
And They Lived Green. Master M loves them! I can't wait to get more meal ideas from Misha and her followers. They are coolest plates and are totally recycled - from Milk Bottles. How cool is that! I love the bright colours. I also got a pink set for my friend's daughter, who will be turning 2 in July. She is going to love it.
If you haven't already, check out her INSTAGRAM and FACEBOOK too.

***NIGHT OUT***
My partner and I went out last night for a 'Social Club' Work Do! It's been 6 months since the last time we went out. My parents came down to watch the kids. Best babysitters EVER. We had a great night - Yummy food, great company and awesome atmosphere. It was nice to have a night away with my partner. The kids were good for Nana & Papa (I'm always a worry wart) however we all survived - another successful night out!

***Teacher by trade - Mother by nature (TTMN) is ONE!*** Woohoo!
You can read more about my milestone here and here. Thank you to everyone who has visited my blog and followed me on Social Media! You all ROCK! I have learned so much in my first year, and I look forward to learning much, much more in the near future. Watch this space (tomorrow 8PM NZT) - I will be announcing the WINNER of my First { G I V E A W A Y }! Exciting!

Sunday Share #19 - Part Two

Welcome to PART 2 of this week's Sunday Share. Just in case you missed it, here's Part 1.

Sunday Share #18

First and foremost...
Congratulations
to The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who has welcomed a baby girl, into their family. Prince George's little sister arrived May 2, 2015 at 8:34am weighing in at 8 pounds 3 ounces. For full details of how everything panned out - click here.

It was a great way to end the week hearing the Princess has arrived! The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton looked absolutely stunning after just giving birth to a baby, and Prince William absolutely stoked to have a little girl. Prince George is a big brother and I could only imagine he is going to be a very protective one of his little sister.

What's Been Happening This Week?
It's surreal to know we are already in the month of May! I know I have said it before but this year is going way to fast - I can already smell Summer!

My biggest achievement - completing the Blogging from A to Z Challenge! I blogged EVERY DAY for a month! Phew! What an adventure! I am going to be sharing my Reflection post this week, so keep an eye out for that. It was a great challenge and I am really glad that I participated - and now I am glad it's over! I am knackered...and might take a mini break from the blog soon just to catch up on some sleep! Click on #AtoZChallenge at the top of my blog to see ALL my posts for the challenge.

We are getting closer to Settlement Day! We have remained positive throughout this whole ordeal of 'buying a home' and know the house that we move into will be OUR HOME - perfect for us! In the meantime, I really need to get started on packing! Eek - Wish me Luck!

Having fun at Mainly Music
On Wednesday, Master M and I went to our first Mainly Music session...M had such a great time, dancing around and playing with his new found friends and friends from Coffee Group and SPACE joined us too. It went for half an hour - jam-packed with singing and dancing, followed by a morning tea. We will definitely be back and it will be a regular activity for us to do each week.

I am loving being a Stay-At-Home Mama! I am treasuring this time I have with Master M. I missed out on the toddler years with Miss B, due to going back to full time study/work. Now, I am in a situation where I don't need to return to full time work and get to stay at home with my boy and attend school activities to support Miss B. Yaye!

PLAY: Artist Master M
Friday is the day we go to PLAY! We are setting up our very own playgroup/playcentre with a group of Mums & Bubs and it's off to a great start. Our second session and once again, Master M was in his element! He loved the paint, water play and playing on the piano. I am enjoying exposing Master M to all different forms of PLAY and I know he is loving every minute of it.

Our week is getting filled up pretty quickly with activities and places to go...and it's great!

Miss B is thriving at school. She was awarded two feathers for showing leadership in her Team. There are seven feathers in total that Senior students can get for various leadership roles - They are: Te Reo Māori (Language), ICT, Sandpit, PE, Environmental, Librarian , and Wet Day Monitor. She is determined to get all her feathers before the end of the year. I am super proud of her for gaining two feathers: Sandpit and Wet Day Monitor, and taking on a leadership role at school! She has come a long way since her first year at school - she was a VERY shy, five year old! Well done Miss B!

We have had a quiet weekend, just hanging out at home! It's been lovely!
This week we are hoping to view a couple of houses and might put an offer on the table! Exciting!

Here's what  I took a photo of this week during #fmsphotoaday challenge. Are you playing along?
